completely arbitrary scale: 60/60
This is a compilation of e.p.s. in a style music critics refer to as minimalistic glitch music. As such, one can expect it to use a lot of studio effects and sound manipulation.
The overall sound is quiet, easy on the ears, a little repetitive, making it good music to have on in the background, yet there are enough fine details and variation to make closer listening rewarding.
The use of distorted voices, organ, and church bells help to create a feeling of gloomy calm or calm gloominess. I like it when music evokes emotions that are subtle and difficult to express without inventing awkward phrases.
The best tracks are 2, 'Darling Didn't We Kill You?', and 4, 'Not Saved'.
